All was quiet in the white room that many people refered to as "The Internet". There was nothing special, just a blank slate, waiting for someone to draw on it.
A set of double doors were slowly extruded from one side, before being burst open. A Kevelar helmet came flying through, traveling a good 15 feet before striking the opposite wall with a satisfying thud. It began to slowly fall, disintergrating completely before it reached the ground. Its former owner soon followed it into the room.
He cursed several obscenities as the doors behind him closed. He paced the room as doors receded back inot the wall. He was dressed in dirty military fatigues, as though he had just come out of a battle. He rubbed his hands on his head, reviving his brown hair after it had been matted down by the helmet. He finally paused in the middle of the room. He stood a moment and held his face in his hands.
"No more Battlefield 2 for tonight." He mumbled to himself. He turned to one wall and fell backward. A shape expanded itself from the floor to catch him. He landed on top of a wide, white leather couch.
"Youtube" He thought out loud. A TV screen expanded out of the wall in front of him, and a coffee table appeared from the floor. The table produced a keyboard and mouse, and the screen became the Youtube home page.
He had to get his mind off Battlefield. After losing all the control points, and then the game at six hundred to zero tickets, he started to wonder why he continued playing. For now, he needed something different that he enjoyed. 'Resident Evil' he thought to himself. He clumsily typed it into the search bar and hit enter. He selected the first video and leaned back as it buffered. The mouse and keyoard slid to the side as he put his feet up on the table.
His clothes then started to chang. The dirt stained boots morphed their way into some grungy tennis shoes. The pants started disintergrating until they reached the knee. The color then going from a digital camouflage to a dark blue. The change continued to ascend, until he was left wih nothing but a grey t-shirt, blue shorts, and a pair of tennis shoes. He squinted at the TV for a moment, then rolled his eyes and pulled a pair of thin rimmed glasses from his pocket, putting them on.
About twenty minutes, and fifty pages later, he had yet to find anything good. There were one or two "AMV's" and "Tributes" that deserved a favorite, but it was mostly just clips set to the song Bodies by Drowning Pool. He sighed and clicked to the next page, and something caught his eye.
From the thumbnail, it appeared to be some kind of hand draw slideshow. He'd seen them before, fan art stolen from various websites and set to music. This thumbnail was, to put it bluntly, just some crappy drawing. But he knew that these kinds of videos often held good artwork as well.  He glanced up at the title; Resident Evil Numa. He paused a moment, thinking back about his travels through the internet. On some website, somewhere, there was was a funny video video of a guy throwing his hands up and down singing some song called "Numa Numa". This video couldn't be any worse then all the "Bodies" ones he'd seen thus far, and decided to take a chance.
It was the Numa Numa tune, but the similarity ended there. It was in english, and apparently full of misheard lyrics. It wasn't a slideshow, but a crude animation. But still, it was amusing.  Breaking from tradition, he clicked on the creaters username.
"ShadowLeggy" He said to himself as he waited for the page to load. An odd name, as it didn't really give much of a description as to what the person was like. More drawings of Resident Evil characters adorned the page background. There were several other animated videos shown.  He went through each, finding several worthy of a laugh. Most were gags about the fallacies in the Resident Evil stories, some were just more random music videos. He went thought them all before returning to the user's page. He wanted to contact the user, as he had thought of some ideas for other funny videos they could do. As he slid the mouse towards the mail button, he paused over another link.
It was labeled "Teh Stream". The link described it as being a chatroom, a place where various people could talk and share interests. His mother had told him once that he should stay away from such places, as the internet was full of bad people. But this time, he decided to throw caution to the wind. He clicked the link.
A single door appeared in the wall next to him. As he stood and moved toward it, it slid up into the ceiling reviling a short hallway. He reached the end and a small screen and keypad came out of the wall. "Enter Username" it prompted him. He wasn't very creative when it came to usernames, so he decided to use the one he went by most often. "W H E E L M A N" He punched into the keyboard and hit enter. The keypand and screen receded back into the wall as it shot up into the ceiling, reveiling another room. He took several steps into the room and began to look around. He didn't have time to take anything in before he heard loud yell.
"FORE!" He heard someone call of the other end of the room. He had barely enough time to step aside before a body came flying in his direction. It rushed past, creating a wind the ruffled his clothes. He watched as it collided with the door he had just come through. This time the door swung open on a hinge, and the body disappeared into a black portal. He turned back in the direction the body had come from, to see a man with a giant hammer. On his head was, of all things, a slice of pizza. The man spun the hammer a few times before dropping the head onto the ground and leaning on the handle. He then continued to talk to a small group of people as if nothing had happened.
"Woah." He said to no one in particular.
"First time in a chatroom?" A voice asked from behind him. He spun around to find a girl dressed in something remicent of a japanese school uniform.
"Uh, yeah." He answered.
"Well then hi, I'm MJ." She stuck her han out towards him.
"Hi, I'm Wheelman" He said hesitantly. He reached out and shook her hand as he finally had a chance to survey his surrounding. The room was rather large and filled with other people. It was nearly impossible to sort out all the conversations, but from the bits and pieces he could pick out, they all seemed to be discussing different topics.
"Is it always this crazy in here?" He asked the girl.
"Nah, tonight's just extra busy." She said with a smile, "So, what brings you here?"
"Um, there was this Youtube thing..." He trailed off. He didn't talk to too many people out in the real world, and for some reason, it was even harder online.
"Leggy's Channel?" she asked.
"Yeah, ShadowLeggy..." Again, he sounded hesitant.

"She's over there if you want to go talk to her." MJ pointed across the room to a small crowd.
"Yeah, I don't think that I really should," He suddenly had reservations after seeing the following that Leggy had.
"Go on, It'll be fun!" MJ encouraged him.
"No, I think I'm just going to.."
He didn't have time to finish his sentence before he recieved the firm shove in the groups direction. He made it there and bumped into someone before regaining his balance. He spun to see the culprit, but when he looked, MJ was gone.
"Hi there." A new voice said from behind him. He whirled back around to see another girl. This one had long brown hair, with a blue blouse and white skirt. It was the person he had bumped into on the way over.
"Sorry about bumping into you like that, someone pushed me and..."
"It's OK," She stopped him as he was apologizing. "I'm Leggy by the way."
"Wheelman." He introduced himself.
"So, how did you find your way here?" She started up a conversation with him. He couldn't really find a good way to back out, so he decided just to go with it.
"There was this thing on Youtube..." He stated again, but again, he was cut off before he could finish.
"You Found my videos! Did you enjoy them." Leggy kept going with the conversation.
"Yeah, they were pretty funny." He was starting to loosen up, and finally remembered why he had come here.
"Have you ever thought about doing a video with some of the minor characters?" He asked.
"Yeah, i really don't like the Outbreak and first person shooter characters."She told him.
This stopped him in his tracks. He had logged countless hours in Outbreak File #2, and Dead Aim was one of the best games he ever played.
"What?!" He couldn't help but blurt out. "They're awesome!"
"They just don't have that Resident Evil feeling." She responded
"No way, Dead Aim is a great!"
"No, Dead Aim sucks balls." Her tone of voice changed, and it was clear she was becoming annoyed. Desperate for a comeback, he said the first thing that entered his mind.
"Yeah, well your videos suck balls!" He shot back.
It was then that the room went silent. He looked around, and all eyes were on him. Their arguement had managed to attract the attention of the entire chatroom. He looked back to Leggy, and found her face red and her hands clenched in rage.
"Sorry buddy," A man with a Black shirt and black hair walked over to him, "But you gotta go." He lifted a hammer identical to PizzaHead's. He didn't have time to say anything in his defence before the hammer came down and he was sent flying.
He Went throught the door, and came back out throught the wall with the TV in his original room. He landed on the couch with such force that it toppled over backwards. Being the internet, the only thing that was hurt from trip was his pride.
"SCREW YOU!" He screamed out to the empty room. "Screw all of this!" He got off the toppled couch, looking to punch the closest person he could find. "Screw this, I'm going back to Battlefield 2!" The double doors reappeared and exited the room.
The room then reabsorbed everything that it had created. It went back to a blank room, waiting for someone to draw on it.
90% fictional, 10% a youtube conversation i had with Leggy a long time ago.

And for the record, I dont think Leggy's drawings were crap, they were alot better then most ive seen.

Definitely a sensationalized version of what it might've been like a while ago, but yeah the conflicting opinions and kicking or getting upset is spot on.

A Japanese school uniform huh? :P
